The reign is over — Sheamus and Cesaro are the new WWE RAW Tag Team Champions after beating The New Day at WWE Roadblock.
The opening contest for tonight’s pay-per-view saw Cesaro avoid a tag from Sheamus, using it as a smart distraction to enter the ring. Kofi Kingston attacked him and went for a cover, not realizing Cesaro didn’t tag in, and Sheamus ran back over and tackled Kofi and made the cover.
The New Day’s historic title reign ends at 483 days; Cesaro is a two-time WWE Tag Team Champion (first reign with Tyson Kidd) while this is Sheamus’ first reign. Michael Cole also noted that with Sheamus’ tag title win, he is the sixth man in WWE history to win the WWE Championship, United States Championship, WWE Tag Team Championship and win the Royal Rumble.
