All Female Tournament Confirmed For WWE Network
PWInsider.com is reporting that WWE will be hosting an all female tournament, similar to the Cruiserweight Classic, in early 2017. The plan is to film the tournament at Full Sail University.
They go on to note that WWE has reached out to several female talents that have had extended try outs in recent weeks. There is said to be particular interest in Kimber Lee, Evie, Nixon Newell and Heidi Lovelace. Deonna Purrazzo and Rachel Ellering are both expected to take part in the tournament as well.
WWE Purchases Another Video Library
WWE Network News is reporting that WWE has purchased a portion of the tape library for Les Thatcher’s former WWE developmental territory Heartland Wrestling Association.
Thatcher confirmed to WWE Network News that WWE purchased all of the footage from 2001 and 2002 that featured names like John Cena, Charlie Haas, Nick “Eugene” Dinsmore, Shark Boy, 3 Count and Raven.
There is currently no update on when this footage will become available on the WWE Network.
