As noted, former WWE NXT Tag Team Champion Scott Dawson Tweeted, then deleted, a shot at the current Tag Team Turmoil angle taking place on Smackdown. When asked if The Revival would be in the turmoil match Dawson posted then deleted the following:
“We’re the hottest act in tag wrestling. You think we’re going to debut in a stupid multi-team gimmick match?! #TheRevival #TopGuys #GTTOAT”
Dawson later apologised for his Tweet, but WWE producer Road Dogg then posted the following response to Dawson:
Keep talking like that and you won’t debut at all! #OUDKhttps://t.co/nG7iXVUBQb

Road Dogg then offered the following explanation as to why he responded to Dawson:
@SSJoshGavin @bullyray5150 he was being a heel and I was being a smart a$$, we were both just doing our thing. #RIB #OUDK
