The following are live event results from today’s WWE Manchester live event in England. The card is much the same as the previous day’s show in Saudi Arabia.
(1) Dolph Ziggler def. The Miz to retain the I.C. title.
(2) Heath Slater & Rhyno def. Breezango & The Usos in a triple threat match to retain the WWE Smackdown tag team titles. The Usos were actually over as babyfaces in England, if you can imagine that. Breeze ate the pin from Rhyno after a gore.
(2) Jack Swagger def. Curt Hawkins. Hawkins cut a promo but was drowned out by “what?” chants. Super short squash match.
(3) Nikki Bella & Naomi def. Carmella & Natalya. Bella got an insanely good reaction.
(4) Baron Corbin def. Kalisto with the End of Days.
(5) Kane & American Alpha def. Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper. The three major guys were over big. Orton started getting a babyface reaction but smartly bailed enough times that the crowd turned on him. Everyone loved Kane. There was a finisher fest with Kane chokeslamming Harper for the win.
(6) The Hype Bros def. The Ascension. Nothing special.
(7) Becky Lynch def. Alexa Bliss to retain the women’s title. A good precursor for what to expect from their title match in Glasgow.
(8) AJ Styles def. Dean Ambrose to retain the world title. Said to be an incredible PPV level match.
