The following are results from Friday night’s WWE NXT San Jose live event in California.
- Oney Lorcan def. Patrick Clark. Lorcan won with the single leg crab submission. Great opener. The former Biff Busick continues to impress and Clark is getting over with his gimmick.
- Shane Thorne def. Roderick Strong. This was actually a singles match to advance TM61 in the Dusty Rhodes Classic, which William Regal announced since Austin Aries got banged up badly at last night’s show.
- Wesley Blake def. Buddy Murphy. Battle of the former tag team partners. The crowed was hot for this one, with “fight forever” chants.
- Asuka def. Daria. Apparently a pretty good match.
- Authors of Pain def. No Way Jose & Rich Swann. AOP advances in the Dusty Rhodes Classic.
- Ember Moon def. Billie Kay. That corkscrew stunner is over big time. Awesome move.
- Shinsuke Nakamura & Tye Dillinger def. Samoa Joe & Bobby Roode. Great main event with a hot crowd. Dillinger is over, but it was obvious who the three biggest stars of this roster are right now, and they were all in this match.
