New WWE Hall of Fame Elite 4-Pack?
If you enjoy collecting the legend or classic figures you may be somewhat excited about this new WWE Hall of Fame Elite 4-pack exclusive to Target.
The other day someone shared this image from a leaked version of Target’s 2016 Black Friday/Holiday Book. If you’re unfamiliar with the HOF set it’s Exclusive to Target as they have singles and 4-packs.
This seems to be a WCW themed set with Scott Hall, Eddie Guerrero, Larry Zbyszko and Kevin Nash. Each supposedly representing a world order in WCW. The only “new” figure in this set is Larry as Mattel likes to put less popular people (such as managers) they fear won’t sell well on their own in these 4-packs to encourage people to buy them. The others are just painted street clothes attires of guys who already have figures.
This is great news and all, but Mattel’s WWE toy designer Bill Miekina recently said the following on a forum regarding this photo:
“I may be Captain Obvious here, but this will not be in Target for Christmas this year.”
This set was rumored to be canceled when prototype images surfaced a month or so ago, so for the designer to say this is kind of weird. Sometimes he discourages people to create the surprise of it still happening as so many people leak information early. But what gets me here is that it’s in a published book for Black Friday/Holiday season, so why would Target promote something they don’t have? That would create a huge headache for employees this holiday season.
The website that has the leaked book said these deals are good until November 23rd so perhaps this will show up by then if in fact it is real. If you’re looking to get this you can use the DPCI code 087-06-3521 to type into the Target price scanners or supply to an employee, just be aware the two previous 4-packs come under the same number so it may be misleading.
What do you think of this 4-pack? Would you pick it up if you saw it? Comment below and let me know!
