Bobby Lashley’s Decision:
Lashley decides to take a second to decide. EC3 has gotten enough chances at his title, Moose is big, slow and dumb, and then we have Eddie, who he beat several times already. He decides to pick the one that’ll be easy, and chooses Eddie Edwards.
Fifth Match: Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Eddie Edwards for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship
Lashley goes for a running spear out of the gates, but Edwards side steps him into the corner. Edwards with a roll up for a two count. Edwards ducks a clothesline from Lashley. Edwards with a series of knife edge chops. Lashley goes for a tilt-a-whirl slam, but Edwards gets back on his feet. Lashley with a back elbow to Edwards. Lashley with a over the head suplex. Lashley with a series of clubbing forearms across the face of Edwards. Lashley stomps on Edwards chest in the corner. Lashley whips Edwards back first into the turnbuckles.
Lashley with a corner spear. Lashley drops Edwards with a delayed vertical suplex for a two count. Lashley with a series of clubbing haymakers to Edwards. Edwards with a back elbow to Lashley. Edwards follows that up with a big boot. Edwards dives off the second rope, but Lashley counters with a massive powerbomb for a two count. Lashley goes to the rear chin lock. Lashley drops Edwards with a running back elbow. Lashley slaps Edwards. Edwards responds with a slap of his own.
Edwards with a standing enziguri to Lashley in the corner. Edwards connects with a top rope hurricanrana. Edwards with a series of running axe handles to Lashley. Edwards with a thrust kick to the midsection. Lashley clotheslines Edwards. Lashley plants Edwards with a running powerslam. Lashley sets up for a Spear, but Edwards sends Lashley crashing to the outside. Edwards connects with the two consecutive suicide dives. Edwards goes for a third suicide dive, but Lashley ducks out of the way. Lashley rolls Edwards back into the ring. Lashley goes for the Spear, but Edwards counters with the Boston Knee Party to pickup the victory.
Winner: New TNA World Heavyweight Champion Eddie Edwards
