AJ Styles, Dean Ambrose and John Cena In-Ring Segment:
San Diego, the champ is here. They say that SmackDown is the land of opportunity and Styles would agree with that. He had the opportunity to beat up John Cena at SummerSlam and become the face that runs the place and he did. At Backlash, he had the opportunity to become WWE World Champion and he did. Now at No Mercy he has the opportunity to defeat John Cena and Dean Ambrose at the same time. Dean Ambrose comes out to interrupt Styles. Ambrose calls Styles the clown the runs the town. The pest that runs the Nest? The Chump. Ambrose respects Styles for what he’s done elsewhere, but Styles took the low road. Ambrose tells Styles to have fun parading around with that while he has the time.
Ambrose is not happy because John Cena interfered when he had Styles down for 27 seconds. Cena showed his true colors by doing what he did. Cena should thank him for bringing the title to SmackDown so he can have a chance to tie Flair’s record. John Cena comes down to the ring. Before Cena can speak Styles tells him to shut up. We already know what Cena is going to say, so he tells him to shut up. Cena will talk about chasing history and becoming a sixteen time champion. How dare Cena compare himself to an icon and legend like Ric Flair. Styles doesn’t care how many championship Cena has won, Cena will never be in the same conversation as Ric Flair. Cena shouldn’t be worrying about Ric Flair’s legacy, he should be worried about AJ Styles. Styles says that he makes history.
