Chris Jericho
While appearing on You’re Welcome with Chael Sonnen, Chris Jericho confirmed a backstage incident between himself and Brock Lesnar after the WWE Summerslam main event.
Originally reported by F4WOnline.com and additional details later confirmed by Pro Wrestling Sheet, the incident was described as heated, and said to have started after Jericho went to check on Randy Orton, who had been badly busted open at the conclusion of the PPV.
Jericho told Sonnen that he didn’t know if Orton was OK, because the match finish was so violent and whether it was a work or shoot, it’s still a real pool of blood that he saw. Jericho says he exchanged words with Lesnar and they were then in each other’s faces yelling at each other, but it blew over rather quickly. He also said that while the match was none of his business, he was concerned for his friend, and it didn’t matter if Brock is a trained fighter because he isn’t the type of person to back down.
