Backstage, Stephanie yells at Foley for putting Owens in a cage match a few days before the first Raw only PPV. Foley thanks Stephanie for letting him roll with it. Rusev barges in and asks Foley why he has given Reigns another shot at Rusev’s U.S. title. Foley reminds Rusev that he has a match right now against Rollins. Rusev storms off angrily.
Seth Rollins vs Rusev
Rusev forces Rollins into the corner. The Referee breaks it up. Rollins forces Rusev into the opposite corner. Rollins manages to land several knees and punches before Rusev swats him away. Rusev whips Rollins into the other corner, but Rollins kicks him in the gut. Rollins mounts the top rope and hits a blockbuster for a two count. Rollins dropkicks Rusev, which causes Rusev to tumble to the outside of the ring. Rollins misses a dive off the apron. Rusev catches him and drives him back first into the ring post. Rusev tosses Rollins back into the ring and assaults his lower back. Rollins tries to fight back; he landed several punches to Rusev’s gut. Rusev shrugs it off. Rusev whips Rollins into the ropes, but Rusev telegraphs his backdrop attempt. Rollins kicks Rusev in the gut and climbs the top rope. Rusev cuts him off and tosses him off to the mat.
