New Match For WWE Backlash Confirmed, Tomorrow’s ESPN / WWE Guest, Del Rio’s Replacement For Advertised Match Next Week

As seen on tonight’s WWE Smackdown Live, Randy Orton will challenge Bray Wyatt at the upcoming WWE Backlash pay-per-view.

The match was set up after Bray cut a promo on Orton, calling him damaged after what happened at WWE Summerslam. Orton comes out and says Bray has his attention, then Bray says this is the guy he was looking for, but Bray is the new predator in this situation. Bray says he will cut the serpent’s head off at WWE Backlash, then Orton talks about all the major fights he’s been in, including Hell In A Cell with Undertaker. Orton says he knows what scars are, and Bray needs to worry more about the internal scars and his demons, so he accepts the challenge. Orton says he’s not afraid of Bray, and he’s not afraid of kicking his ass now, but Bray disappears before anything physical happens.

Alberto Del Rio

According to ads in the Lincoln, Nebraska area, The Miz has been added as a replacement in the advertised six man tag team match for next week’s WWE Smackdown Live taping.

The match was originally advertised as featuring Alberto Del Rio, AJ Styles and Bray Wyatt against Dean Ambrose, John Cena and Randy Orton, but Del Rio was removed after he was suspended from WWE starting August 18th.
