Big E Returns to Save Jon Stewart
WWE Tag Team Champion Big E returned from his… uh, groin injury… to save legendary television host Jon Stewart from an assault by The Club tonight at WWE SummerSlam. Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows had been attempting to ram the former Daily Show host into the ring post, the same way the “doctor” duo injured E three weeks ago on Monday Night Raw.
Although his interference technically cost the New Day their match with the Club, the champions still retained the titles via disqualification. Their year-long reign with the titles rolls on, likely into next month’s Raw-exclusive Clash of Champions event.
Charlotte on Her Women’s Championship Win
