Eight Match: Jay Lethal (c) vs. Adam Cole for the Ring of Honor World Championship
Cole brings out the braids he shaved off of Lethal’s head a couple weeks ago. Lethal snaps and connects with a series of haymakers. Lethal goes to the ground and pound attack. Lethal whips Cole back first into the corner. Lethal lands two knife edge chops. Cole lands a knife edge chop of his own. Lethal stomps on Cole’s chest in the corner. Lethal lower’s the bottom rope and Cole is sent crashing to the outside. Lethal goes back to chopping Cole in the chest. Cole kicks Lethal in the gut. Lethal with a snap mare followed by a a running dropkick to the back of Cole. Lethal with a dropkick to the back of the head of Cole. Lethal brings out a table from under the ring. Cole and Lethal engage in back and forth right hands. Lethal drops Cole with a neck breaker on the mats at ringside. Lethal climbs to the top rope. Lethal goes for the flying elbow drop, but he’s sent crashing through the table as Cole ducks out of the way.
Cole rolls Lethal back into the ring. Lethal is busted open. Cole applies a rear chin lock. Lethal gets out of the submission hold by landing two double axe handle’s to the gut of Cole. Cole drops Lethal with a elbow. Cole whips Lethal into the corner. Lethal with a leg lariat to Cole. Lethal with the Death Valley Driver for a two count. Lethal connects with the dropkick. Lethal fires up and connects with five consecutive suicide dives. Lethal goes for another suicide dive, but Cole ducks out of the way and drives Lethal face first into the steel guard rail. Cole rolls Lethal back into the ring. Cole slaps Lethal around the ring. Lethal and Cole engages in back and forth forearms. Cole drops Lethal with the shining wizard for a two count. Cole goes for a Superkick, but Lethal counters with the STO. Cole with a low blow to Lethal for a two count as Lethal gets his foot on the bottom rope.
Cole kicks Lethal in the knee. Cole with the inside cradle for a two count. Cole applies a guillotine choke. Lethal gets out of the submission hold, by landing Lethal Combination for a two count. Lethal connects with the back suplex. Lethal with the Hail to The King for a two count. Lethal eats a back elbow from Cole. Lethal connects with the Bicycle Kick. Lethal follows that up with an enziguri. Cole responds with the shining wizard. Lethal goes for the Lethal Injection, but Cole counters with the Superkick. Cole with the Destroyer to Lethal for a two count. Cole talks smack to Lethal. Lethal plants Cole with the Lethal Injection for a two count. Cole gives Lethal the middle finger. Cole ducks a superkick attempt from Lethal. Cole connects with the Shining Wizard. Cole plants Lethal with a Fireman’s Carry into a Neck Breaker to pickup the victory. After the match, Kyle O’Reilly returns. O’Reilly plants Cole with a Brain Buster. O’Reilly poses with the world title to close the show.
