On how he thinks Jerry Lawler is doing on the WWE Monday Night RAW Kick-Off Show since being transitioned away from RAW commentary:
BT: I hate to give my colleagues a grade or anything like that. You know what I mean? I have to work with them every week (laughs). The transition is going to be what Jerry makes out of it. I’ve always had a good time working with Jerry. The Kick-Off Show for me is a cool outlet. I love actually being able to go out and analyze the guys from a certain perspective. Give certain guys a rub that I think are really, really good. Then there are the guys that are not so good. I’m not going to give them a rub. I can actually go out there and speak my voice. Say what I really feel a lot of times. It’s going to be what Jerry makes out of it. Hopefully he can make the transition and we can have a cool team.
On whether he thinks that Jerry Lawler is happy about being transitioned from RAW commentary to the RAW Kick-Off Show:
BT: I can imagine Jerry, who has been there a long time, I am sure he still wants to be at that commentary desk. He misses it. Making that transition to the Kick-Off Show… he did feel demoted a little bit. Hopefully not. I think it’s all about when you have a show this big everybody has to play their role. No matter what that role may be at this point in time. No telling. They may move him back to that position or they may not. It is an evolution business right now. It is about the younger faces out there on the actual program. You’ve got to be able to know how to go with your seasons. It just may be another season for Jerry.
Booker T’s appearance is in conjunction with his upcoming appearance at Legends of Wrestling Night at Marlins Park in Miami, FL on August 27th.
