More on Eva Marie’s WWE Suspension and SummerSlam
As noted, WWE announced earlier today that Eva Marie has been suspended 30 days effective immediately for violation the company’s wellness policy.
While Marie is currently scheduled to compete in a 6 woman tag team match at SummerSlam, WWE has yet to announce any changes to the match. Since Marie’s suspension is effective as of today, she will not be at SummerSlam on Sunday, so it’s likely will cover her absence by continuing her story line of not being able to compete in scheduled matches. It’s worth reiterating that Marie’s suspension is completely legitimate, like the suspensions of Del Rio and Paige, and is not part of her current story line despite the coincidence.

In related news, we noted earlier this week that CM Punk recently appeared on Hot 97 with Pete Rosenberg, and during the interview, which you can watch below, Punk had the following to say on his debut fight at UFC 203:
“Honestly, there’s no assuming [I win]. I’m gonna win. I’ve never been more confident about something in my entire life,” said Punk. “I’ll probably sit on the beach for a little bit. I’ll probably maybe take a little vacation with the wife but I’ll get bored real quick and I’ll just want to keep going. I’ll want to get the second fight as soon as I can.”
