Third Match: Tony Nese (USA) vs. THE Brian Kendrick in a Second Round Match in the WWE Cruiserweight Classic Tournament
Kendrick and Nese shakes hand before the bell rings. Nese drops Kendrick with a knee strike. Nese follows that up with a running back elbow to Kendrick in the corner. Nese connects with a running knee strike to the corner and Kendrick rolls out of the ring. Nese goes for a springboard moonsault, but Kendrick rolls out of the ring. Nese lands a knife edge chop to the chest of Kendrick. Kendrick launches Nese to the ring apron. Nese cartwheels off the ring apron. Nese superkick’s Kendrick. Nese rolls Kendrick back into the ring. Nese goes for the pin, but Kendrick kicks out at the count of two. Nese gets Kendrick in a Fireman’s Carry Position, but Kendrick fish hook’s Nese to get out of the hold.
Kendrick with a series of elbows to the chest of Nese. Kendrick drives Nese to the corner. Nese gets his hand stuck in the top turnbuckle. Kendrick shoves his boot down Nese’s throat in the corner. Nese goes for a moonsault off the top rope, but Kendrick ducks out of the way. Nese with a series of kicks to Kendrick. Nese with a leg sweep for a two count. Nese goes for a running boot, but Kendrick gets Nese leg draped on the top rope. Kendrick applies a armbar. Nese gets out of the hold by landing a series of forearms. Nese goes for a springboard moonsault off the second rope, but again Kendrick rolls out of the way. Kendrick gets Nese trapped in the Cross Armbreaker. Kendrick continues to work on the shoulder of Nese. Kendrick with a Fujiwara Armbar.
Nese launches Kendrick to ring apron. Nese with a reverse leg sweep which sends Kendrick crashing back first into the ring apron. Nese drops Kendrick with a over the top rope plancha. Nese goes for the 450 Splash, but Kendrick rolls out of the way. Nese drops Kendrick with a lethal lariat for a two count. Kendrick responds with a single leg lariat for a two count. Nese plants Kendrick into the corner with a deadlift buckle bomb for a two count. Kendrick with a side headlock takeover into the Bully Choke. Nese with a pumphandle into a Michinoku Driver for a two count. Nese and Kendrick engage in back and forth haymakers. Kendrick with a series of headbutt’s to Nese. Kendrick drops Nese with a leg lariat. Kendrick ascends to the top rope. Nese knocks Kendrick off the top rope with two standing enziguri’s. Nese goes for the 450 Splash, but Kendrick rolls out of the way. Kendrick immediately gets Nese in the Bully Choke and Nese taps out.
Winner: THE Brian Kendrick (USA) via Submission
