Refusals Issued for Several New WWE Trademark Applications
According to PWInsider.com, WWE recently filed to trademark the names Royal Rumble, CWC, Cruiserweight Classic, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, and Colin Cassady. However, on 8/11, The USPTO issued initial refusals for the WWE trademark applications. WWE has 6 months to respond with changes to the applications or they will be abandoned.
Top Stars Wrapping Up Overseas Tour
Following this week’s WWE live events in New Zealand and Australia, John Cena, AJ Styles, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Chris Jericho and Sasha Banks are headed back to the U.S. and are scheduled to be at WWE Raw on Monday night. Cena and Styles are expected to appear in dark segments on Raw like they did last week.
The dark match main event for Raw Monday night is currently scheduled to be John Cena, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins, AJ Styles and Chris Jericho.
Randy Orton Getting a WWE Title Shot Tonight
In other WWE live event news, Randy Orton is scheduled to face Dean Ambrose and Alberto Del Rio in a Triple Threat match for the WWE Title at tonight and tomorrow night’s live events in Hidalgo and Laredo, TX.
The following matches are also scheduled for those live events:
-The Miz (with Maryse) vs Kane for the IC Title
-Enzo & Cass vs. The Dudleys
-Dolph Ziggler vs. Baron Corbin
