Dolph Ziggler Talks Brock Lesnar in College, Being Scared of Lesnar, Headlining SummerSlam, MITB Ladder Match at WrestleMania

#1 contender to the WWE Title Dolph Ziggler was the guest on this week’s ESPN Off the Top Rope segment, and you can watch videos of Ziggler on the segment below. The following are some highlights.

-Ziggler talked about Brock Lesnar and recalled seeing Lesnar at the national wrestling tournament back when he was in college. He noted how big Lesnar was even back then, but added that while The Beast is a special and unique talent, and he is scared of him to a certain degree, he would never back down to him in a fight.

-Ziggler talked about facing Dean Ambrose at SummerSlam this year for the WWE Title and said that not only is this a new era in WWE for the upcoming young talents, it’s also a new era for veterans like him who are getting new opportunities.

-On his ladder match at WrestleMania 32, Ziggler said you never fully recover from a bout like that, and it still hurts thinking back on that match.

Ziggler also talked briefly about being a Cleveland sports fan and his stand-up comedy career which is sort of on pause at the moment.

Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.

Nick attended New York University and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Drama.

Nick first entered the internet wrestling community back in 2004 when he became the co-host of The Voice of Wrestling Radio Show. From there, Nick made the transition from radio personality to editor when he began working with WrestleZone in 2008.

Nick is a member of two Off-Broadway theatre companies, Another Urban Riff, and the Drama Desk Award winning Godlight Theatre Company. Nick has appeared in over a dozen Off-Broadway plays since he moved to New York City, and has shot several short and feature length films. In 2010, he completed principle photography on a film titled "How to Score Your Life," which also features TNA Knockout ODB.

Inspiration in his life has come from many people including his family, Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg, Jack Nicholson, The Beatles, and of course, Lassie.
