Apollo Crews
The Miz has a new challenger to his Intercontinental Championship as Apollo Crews won a #1 contender’s match on WWE Smackdown Live tonight.
The match was set up after Miz complained backstage about not being treated as well as he should be, and Daniel Bryan said he was mainly drafted because he is Intercontinental Champion. They then made the match as part of a ‘new era initiative’ and Crews defeated Baron Corbin and Kalisto to win the match, with The Miz and Maryse watching from ringside.
After the match Corbin attacked Kalisto, then Crews made the save but Miz entered and dropped Crews with the Skull Crushing Finale. Corbin then gets back up and plants Miz with the End of Days to end the segment.
