Michael Cole’s Interview with Finn Balor:
Mick Foley and Stephanie McMahon made a splash on the WWE Draft when they selected Finn Balor in the first round. Last week Balor proved that the pick wasn’t a fluke. Balor says that the last couple of weeks have been crazy for him. Seth Rollins comes down to the ring to interrupt Balor. Rollins tells Cole to take a hike. Just in case you didn’t know, Balor is a former WWE NXT Champion, but he wasn’t the first NXT Champion like Rollins was. Balor was selected in the first round in the WWE Draft, but Rollins was the number one pick. Balor pinned Roman Reigns on his first night on Raw, but Rollins defeated Roman Reigns on his first night coming back from ACL Surgery.
Rollins says that Balor is okay, but he’s not that great. Balor is like the bad Star Wars Remakes, the new Ghostbusters movie, etc. Rollins says that Balor is the WWE Version of Melissa McCarthy. Balor asks Rollins if he’s done? Balor knows about Rollins accomplishments, but it doesn’t change the fact he’ll become the first WWE Universal Champion at SummerSlam. Rollins says that Balor has as good of a shot winning the Universal Title as the Atlanta Braves winning the World Series. Rollins knows that Balor has beaten a lot of people and NXT would not be where it is today without Balor. This is Rollins show, this is his ring and he’s the man. Balor says that he has been watching Rollins for a while and he thought his laugh was bad, but hearing it live is annoying. Everywhere Balor has been, someone said they were the man, but Balor not only defeat them but took there spot.
Balor has never faced anyone like him. Rollins is stronger, faster, and the most resiliant in the industry. If you want an idea, get on the WWE Network and watch his sweet special. Balor can watch when Rollins faces Balor’s friend Sami Zayn. Rollins says that he’s going to make a example out of him. Balor says that there’s one thing that is different about them. Balor earned his title match while Rollins had it handed to him.Rollins says that he’s has never handed anything. The only thing that will be handed to him is that Universal Championship when he wipes the floor with Balor at SummerSlam. Balor says that the only thing that Rollins will have handed to him is his ass. Rollins tries to attack Balor. Balor with a side kick to Rollins. Balor connects with the Pele Kick. Rollins rolls out of the ring in frustration.
