WWE Event Conflicting With TNA Bound For Glory?, More TNA Final Deletion Production Notes, Backstage News on Where The Angle Could Lead

The scheduled September 11th date for TNA Bound For Glory might be changed because of WWE adding a new Backlash PPV to the calendar on the same night.

It was noted that it’s not known if the date or plans have already changed, but TNA was promoting their event on TV this week but didn’t mention a date. TNA was planning on hosting BFG before WWE announced the new Backlash event, but it wouldn’t make sense for TNA to try and run against WWE considering it would also be broadcast on the WWE Network, essentially making it a ‘free’ event versus a paid TNA PPV.

The Observer previously reported Backlash, a reported Smackdown exclusive event after the brand split, would be a WWE Network exclusive event because it would run sooner than the 90 day minimum announcement that PPV providers normally stick to.

The Final Deletion

Production on TNA’s The Final Deletion was reportedly a collaboration between Matt Hardy, Jeremy Borash, Billy Corgan and Jeff Hardy, with Matt Hardy planning it out and Borash handling the production and editing.

It was noted that Dixie Carter and the creative team didn’t know details about the angle, but signed off on it. The Final Deletion was meant to be the start of a new angle, not a blow-off to a feud between the Hardys, and it has earned TNA some industry buzz that they have not seen in a while. The angle will be replayed on the first Thursday broadcast of Impact next week, and TNA will have an overrun on the same night.
