Charlotte & Sasha Collide on WWE Smackdown
WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte came face-to-face with rival Sasha Banks during tonight’s episode of WWE Smackdown, following a match between Becky Lynch and Dana Brooke. The “Boss” came close to finally getting her hands on the champ, but settled for applying the Bank Statement to her protege instead. You can check out the whole segment in the video above.
Teddy Hart Ringside at WWE CWC
Teddy Hart, the 36-year-old nephew of WWE Hall of Famer Bret “The Hitman” Hart and the British Bulldog, was spotted sitting ringside at tonight’s WWE Cruiserweight Classic taping at Full Sail University. Hart, who has had two separate runs with WWE in developmental programs, is not expected to be used as a part of the show.
As previously noted, several other names are backstage at the show including Finn Balor, Corey Graves and Becky Lynch.
Also during tonight’s CWC taping, Mustafa Ali appeared to have suffered a neck injury towards the end of his match against Lince Dorado.
Ali missed an inverted 450 splash towards the match and had to be checked on by WWE trainers. Ali left the ring on his own, but ended up needing help to the back while holding his neck.
WZ has reached out to Ali for comment and will provide an update if/when more information becomes available.
