WZ had a correspondent in attendance at tonight’s WWE Cruiserweight Classic tapings, and below are live spoiler results. The tapings begin at 6:30pm EST, and below are first look photos of the CWC set.
The commentary team consists of Daniel Bryan and Mauro Ranallo, and both entered to huge reactions.
Tonight’s taping will consist entirely of opening round matches. Matches will all have a 20 minute time limit.
Match #1:
-Gran Metalik defeated Alejandro Saez with a Cradle Driver.
Following the match, Metalik was brought to the center of the ring and had his arm raised by referee Charles Robinson as he was announced the winner of the match, similar to how it’s done in boxing and MMA.
Match #2:
-Ho Ho Lun defeated Ariya Daivari with a Bridged German Suplex.
Match #3:
-Cedric Alexander defeated Clement Petiot with the Lumbar Check in what was described as an excellent match.
Match #4:
-Brian Kendrick defeated Raul Mendoza via submission with a rear naked choke. Kendrick appeared to have been busted open in the match as the canvas had to be changed following the very physical bout. This match ended episode one.
Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.
