In addition to some summarized highlights, part one of the Lesnar – Heyman interview can be viewed in the video player below; part two will be available later this week:

Brock starts by saying he’s returning to UFC because it’s his choice and he wanted to make a healthy MMA return. He says his last few fights weren’t who he really is, and his bout with diverticulitis was a fight he lost and he wants to fight on his terms.

Brock says he doesn’t have that many good memories from UFC because of his illness, and he really wants to come back strong. Lesnar says he was trying to prove himself back then to beat the disease, but now he’s not there to finish anything or avenge any loses to opponents except for the loss to diverticulitis. Heyman references writing Brock’s book, and says Brock almost died and was sick a long time before they knew about.

Heyman asks about Brock’s training plans, and he says he is hiring coaches and training partners, and he feels really good right now. Brock says he is 1000% in this and he has support, and Dana White didn’t call him; he made the call. Brock says he isn’t going into the ring half-assed, and there’s no doubt in his mind at all.
