Paige
Blake Mitchamore wrote a new blog on CSRWrestling.com about Paige. Here’s a sample:
When Charlotte , Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks debuted on Raw it was called a revolution. The truth is the real revolution in women’s wrestling started two years ago when Paige debuted on Monday Night Raw. Paige was the standard bearer on Raw and SmackDown for women’s wrestling for a long period of time. Recently that’s changed and I’m not real sure why.
When Paige debuted I think you could make a case that for her first six months she was without a doubt the number 1 woman on Raw and SmackDown. She was constantly involved in the Divas Championship picture. If there was a women’s match on Raw and SmackDown Paige was usually involved in it. If there was a women’s match on a pay per view Paige was usually involved in it. Then Paige was added to the cast of Total Divas.
So you have to ask the question did being on Total Divas hurt Paige?
My answer is No. I think it actually made Paige and even bigger star. Total Divas gave Paige the opportunity to show the real her and to show her personality. Paige is an incredibly entertaining person. She also comes off as very real and authentic. Something most people complain girls like Eva Marie and The Bella Twins do not do. Her being on Total Divas has also led to her getting to be on shows like Conan and Rob Dyrdek’s Ridiculousness on MTV.
So we’ve established it wasn’t Total Divas. The next question is did the Divas Revolution hurt Paige?
