In today’s WrestleTalk News, reports that TNA were evicted from their Nashville HQ, speculation that Bobby Roode has signed with WWE and WWE’s plans for the Women’s Division this Summer…
TNA Evicted From HQ?
Our top story today, is that the Wrestling Observer are reporting that TNA have effectively been evicted from their Cummins Station office headquarters in Nashville, Tennesse.
This first began with a report from PWInsider last week, who said TNA will be moving out of their corporate HQ at the beginning of May and into the warehouse where they run their ShopTNA.com.
The following day, PWInsider reported that TNA’s production office – which will now be located separately from their HQ – will move to Nashville’s biggest HD facility, NorthStar Productions.
So why are TNA undergoing such a big move?
PWInsider says the reason is because the lease on their current HQ’s building has expired, and the move has been planned for several months.
The Wrestling Observer, however, is reporting that TNA have been falling behind on payments at their Cummins Station location – at one point even having to move their operations into the facility’s basement where TV production was done to cut costs – and were basically evicted effective the end of April.
Unfortunately, that’s not where TNA’s bad news ends. PWInsider are now reporting that POP TV – the network that currently airs TNA programming – has now moved the Impact Wrestling replay from midnight on Tuesday to Saturday mornings at 11.30am due to low ratings.
Big deal, a replay won’t be on at midnight. Who stays up past 10pm anyway? Well, as Live Audio Wrestling has pointed out, this means that for those who have DirecTV or Dish Network on the West Coast, Impact will only air at 6pm Pacific, and thus out of prime time – which will theoretically affect their overall viewership.
That said, it’s a move that TNA and POP TV apparently made together, and the network has been happy with how Impact Wrestling has done since moving to them earlier this year.
