Wrestlemania 33 match already set?
Welcome to the 4/9 edition of WrestleTalk News. Our top story today is that a Wrestlemania 33 match might already have been set.
NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal made a surprise appearance at Wresltemania 32 this past Sunday, competing in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal and being booked better than most the mid-card roster.
During the contest, Shaq had a staredown with the Big Show before both were eliminated by everyone else in the ring.
Now, during an interview with ESPN following Wrestlemania 32 this past weekend, Shaq has hinted that a match between the two might be happening at next year’s Wrestlemania, saying the next time he faces Big Show he’s gonna bodyslam him over a table and “it’s going down next year in Orlando.”
A match between Shaq and Big Show is something the WWE have wanted to happen for a long time, as they’ve teased it in almost every guest appearance O’Neal has made throughout the years.
Seth Rollins Seen Limping at Wrestlemania 32
Seth Rollins had to forfeit his WWE title last November when he tore his ACL, MCL and medial meniscus in his right knee, putting him completely out of action. Building up to Wrestlemania weekend, though, there were a lot of reports over whether he might return. He was in town for the event; he was spotted training without a knee brace. All the signs were hinting to a surprise run-in during the Roman Reigns/Triple H match for the title he never lost…but no. Roman won and we got a John Cena super-early return instead.
He didn’t appear on the post-Wrestlemania edition of Monday Night Raw, either, and now Wrestling News World is reporting Rollins was seen limping over Wrestlemania weekend.
He could be kafabing us, with a return possible at any time…or, probably more likely, he’s still recovering. His original timetable had his earliest return date as May.
He will appear for sure, however, in the next WWE Studios film Temple alongside Kiss’ Gene Simmons and Wesley Snipes. It’s gonna be awful. I can’t wait.
What did Vince McMahon Think of Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady?
After months of fans begging for the WWE to call NXT’s realest tag team in the room – Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady – down to the main roster, they finally debuted in a segment with the Dudley Boys on this week’s post-Wrestlemania episode of Raw.
Their segment has been praised online and by people in the audience that night knowing every one of the team’s catchphrases – but there’s only one person they really need to impress: the guy with all the brass rings, Vince McMahon.
Daily Wrestling News are reporting that the WWE Chairman was a big fan of the team themselves, and even more pleased with how everyone responded to them. Badda bing, badda boom, brass rings grabbed.
Our question for you today is: what matches do you want to see at Wrestlemania 33? Only 360 more sleeps to find out! Let us know in the comments.
