Hayes says they need oxygen. Garvin agrees and says he hasn’t danced like that in a long time. They get fans to give it up for The New Day. Hayes goes to leave and they joke about working bets on how long the speech would go. Garvin can’t catch his breath. He talks about being put in a ring at 9 years old and it felt like home. Garvin says he became brothers with Hayes 37 years ago and it’s been a wonderful ride. Hayes joked about how he always stays in trouble in WWE. Garvin talks about setting an attendance record in Texas and says it will be smashed tomorrow at WrestleMania. Hayes tells a story about how they got a two bedroom apartment and the door was kicked off the hinges on the first day when nobody had a key. They had a pretty wild party and says that’s just one story that comes to mind. Garvin talks about how much they miss Terry Gordy and Buddy Roberts. He says they are still their brothers and he would give anything to have them here now. Hayes guarantees tonight we will feel their presence tonight, like always. Hayes to make it a little more special, we have their kids.
Ray says that growing up his favorite wrestler was Kevin Von Erich. Ray says that his father is one of the greatest big men in the history of professional wrestling. Buddy says that he had a speech plan from earlier today, but that’s not going to happen tonight. Buddy gives a shoutout to his mother. Garvin says that this is a family show, so they have alot of restrictions, but they’re going to push it. Hey what can happen? Michael loses his job? Michael tells a story of how the Freebird/Von Erich rivalry started. Michael tells a story about Terry Gordy destroying a couple guys in a strip club and one of the guys had a wooden leg. Michael and Gordy get in a gun confrontation. Unfortunately the guy missed and Gordy was laughing about it. Garvin thanks his wife Patti. Garvin has been blessed to be a free bird and it was a amazing experience.
Michael wants to pay tribute to World Class Championship Wrestling, Sports Auditorium, King Parsons, Chris Adams, Jimmy Garvin, Sunshine & Precious and etc. Michael thanks god, his mother, Pat Patterson, Jerry Briscoe, all the producers and agents, the writers and tells everybody that they have no idea of how hard everybody works to put smile on people’s faces. Michael thanks Afa & Sika, his two ex wifes and the McMahon family. Michael calls Stephanie the sister he’s never had, Michael calls Shane crazy, Michael gives props to Linda. Michael says that he’s been married to this business since he was 14 years old. Michael tells everybody to never take anything from granted. Michael brings out Kevin Von Erich. Kevin says that family is everything. Kevin calls The Free Birds brothers. Kevin calls Terry one of the strongest people he’s ever met. Kevin extends his love for the family of Terry Gordy and Buddy Roberts. Kevin says that he’s the luckiest man in the world. Kevin says god bless Texas.
