More Details on “American Grit” with John Cena
Hulu Plus is now offering a 22 minute preview special for John Cena’s upcoming reality series “American Grit”, premiering on April 14th.
The special contains a number of shorter-form video highlights and previews from the first episode, and Cena is listed as the host and executive producer of the show.
The series will feature 16 competitors broken into four teams, with each team being advised by decorated military heroes. The competitors on the show will work together as teams, and this idea was put into place to get rid of the “backstabbing” audiences are used to seeing in reality shows when contestants try to get others on the show eliminated.
Following each episode’s challenges, the episode will culminate in “The Circus”, which is an endurance test that will come as a complete surprise to the contestants and advisors. Contestants lose “The Circus” when they choose to ring a bell, signifying they can no longer endure the challenge and wish to quit.
