F4WOnline.com is confirming previous reports that the Chris Jericho versus Neville match on RAW had an improvised finish due to Neville’s injury.
Apparently Jericho told referee Charles Robinson about the match ending being changed and went for a rollup. According to F4W, Robinson reportedly called the match like a shoot as normally instructed, since he saw one of Neville’s shoulders up and stopped the count. The argument then started when Jericho jumped up and yelled to Robinson that Neville was hurt and that was the cause for the match being cut short, and Jericho shoved Robinson.
Robinson then called for the disqualification, but the two argued, with Jericho talking about the injury, and Robinson claiming he didn’t hear him. The two were screaming at each other to not put their hands on each other, and the whole thing was called “an awkward situation” but it seemed better backstage.
Jericho also reportedly improvised his promo afterwards, which saw AJ Styles come out and take him out with a Phenomenal Forearm. On a similar note, Robinson commented about the matter on his Twitter account, posting the following:
