Sami Zayn kicks off NXT with an in-ring promo. A loud “O’le” chant breaks out. Zayn takes a moment to reintroduce himself. Zayn goes on to say that he is on of the corner stones of NXT. Having his return match in London was great, but he is happy to finally be home at Full Sail. He wants to put everyone on notice: His goal is to become the first two-time NXT champion.
Samoa Joe comes down to the ring. Joe says he has no idea why Zayn thinks he deserves a title shot. Joe wants another shot at Finn Bálor. Baron Corbin comes out on the ramp and says he agrees with Joe; Zayn should be at the end of the line. Joe had his shot and he failed. Corbin refers to himself as the uncrowned NXT champion. Joe says he isn’t sure how many brain cells Corbin lost when he choked him out in Brooklyn. Corbin doesn’t belong in the conversation. Joe tells Zayn to know his place.
Joe walks away. Corbin attacks Zayn from behind, but Zayn Helluva kicks Corbin over the top rope. Joe tries to sneak up behind Zayn, but Zayn turns around. Joe thinks better of it and walks away.
