On his pro wrestling journey up until now:
RE: When I got in to wrestling in 2000 I was sixteen years old. I am thirty-two now. It’s been a long sixteen years. My goal, basically, was always to just live off of wrestling. I want wrestling to be my job. Wherever life took me I just wanted to be driving a nice car, living in a nice house… from wrestling. That’s what I do. I am super happy. It took ten years of hard work, traveling up and down the roads for these shows getting $30 or $40… no money. I went to school and everything. Tried to live a regular life. I have a college degree and all that. I was a school teacher. This is way more fun. I got an opportunity with TNA and it worked out good. Over five years later I am still here. I am former X-Division Champ, Television Champ, two time Tag Team Champ and I would like to one day be the World Champion.
On his goals for 2016 in TNA Impact Wrestling:
RE: I haven’t held the World Title. It would be nice to be one of the few on the short list to say I am a Grand Slam Champion. That I have held every title. In 2016 it’s about continuing to show a different side of myself. People forget that I can actually wrestle. I am beginning to showcase that a little bit more. Hopefully I get to do more of that. That’s really it. That’s really all I can ask for.
On whether there are any other reality show projects involving him in the near future:
RE: I was on the 25th season of The Amazing Race. After I did that I fell in love with it. I enjoyed it. It was great. It’s huge exposure being on one of the biggest reality shows pretty much of all time. On a network that’s doing millions of viewers a week watching the show. It’s crazy. I would definitely want to branch out and do other stuff. Movies, TV shows… I’d be down for that. My number one love is wrestling. With the wrestling schedule we do have it’s hard to put time in to that. If opportunities come to me I am more than willing to accept.
