On whether or not he is excited for WWE TLC:
BF: No. (Laughs) I don’t think anybody really is with everything that’s been going on in WWE lately. You know what the weird thing is? That sometimes when we have these low expectations for a show those are the ones that are really good. It’s funny because we can sit here and talk about, “Oh, we don’t like what’s going on with WWE creatively right now.” But on a show like this a lot of time you just get down to the matches. You’re not worried too much about storylines. There will be a little bit of that but when you just get down and the focus is on the matches then it can actually be a good show. Hopefully that’s what we get come Sunday.
On Diva’s Championship match between Charlotte and Paige:
BF: This is something where the WWE is, obviously, trying to get really behind Charlotte. They believe they have got a lot with her and they do. It’s just utilizing her in the right way. It’s funny that we watch her in NXT and for the longest time we all thought, “She’s best served as a heel.” When they brought her up, obviously, she wasn’t that way. Seemingly out of nowhere they said, “Hey, let’s flip the switch and let’s turn her heel.” After all we saw was the big smile on her face. How appreciative she was of everything. How she was crying about how happy she was of all her accomplishments. Being around her Dad. Then of course the awkward angle involving her deceased brother. They just do a u-turn out of nowhere and said, “Well, let’s just turn her heel.” If that’s what it takes to get to this point it’s awkward as hell, I think, but this is where she should be. I expect her to keep the Championship. I almost wonder if this is building up towards Bayley coming up to the main roster. Maybe not right now but maybe before ‘Mania.
On Dean Ambrose’s current position on the main roster going in to his Intercontinental Championship match with Kevin Owens:
BF: Dean Ambrose is a guy right now who is as lost in the shuffle as any guy out there. Especially when you think about who should be in a much better position. We can sit here and we can talk about the Dean Ambroses of the world and the Dolph Zigglers and everything but Dean Ambrose is a guy that should definitely be in a better position. Especially with the way they have feuds setup. It’s kind of surprising how they are using Dean right now. It’s almost like he’s an after thought.
On the direction he would have preferred Roman Reigns to be in as opposed to the TLC match he is going in to with Sheamus:
BF: I was a big proponent of turning Reigns heel. To me that setup everything going forward through WrestleMania. It’s a better fit, I thought, for Roman. People are going to boo him no matter what, 0k? We are talking about this guy who is well spoken but it’s obviously not working well with his promos. With them being scripted and everything. We are talking about this guy, this tall, good looking, muscular guy that people naturally just want to get on. Why not turn him heel? When you talk about The Authority and the storyline is supposedly their picture of what they believe the championship should be. Why not Reigns? He was a part of The Shield, he’s got the look and everything that goes in to that. He would look good in a suit too. Why not play in to that? You can still have Reigns in a great position. I believe that for people to really want to love Roman Reigns they need everybody to hate him right now. It’s a lot easier to make people hate Roman right now than to love him, I think. If they had pulled that trigger then you could have done something with Ambrose. Then he could keep defending the Championship all the way up to WrestleMania. I think Brock Lesnar wins the Royal Rumble and I think that sets up Lesnar vs Reigns at ‘Mania.
