On his new book HARDBODY: HOW TO BE ONE:
RN: I wanted to make an exercise book that was entertaining and funny. I think they’re all very informational and helpful but they’re so dry and boring to read. That’s something I have encountered my whole life. I wanted to change that and then I kind of realized that at my disposal I had this arsenal of all these different WWE and other kind of wrestlers. Comedians and bodybuilders and fitness experts. I thought, “Why don’t I just kinda get their take on all of this stuff. I will present it as a cornucopia of fitness information and stories.” If you like wrestling road stories that’s all in there too. You can take what you want from all of these. It’s like, what does Seth Rollins do for his work out? What does Dolph Ziggler do for his work out? What does some insanely successful screen writer do to work hard at writing? These different things that you can take little bits and pieces from. See what you think and maybe it applies to your life.
On training to do comedy in LA and how pro wrestling locker rooms and comedy green rooms compare:
RN: I would agree. I think there’s a lot of similarities. On any level, I haven’t been to super high comedy levels, but I imagine something like OVW has always reminded me of somewhere like Improv Olympics or iO Chicago. There’s performers who are just busting their ass every night. They’re training and doing their shows and trying to get people to come out to their shows. You go see them and to you they are the superstars on the stage but to them to they’re just like, “Man, I got to make it somewhere. Hopefully this is all leading to something else.” That seemed kind of like OVW and FCW were too to me.
On whether he believes his brother Dolph Ziggler will be done in the ring in two years like he insinuated on Twitter:
RN: Do I believe that or do I not believe that? I believe it but I don’t know what he means by retire. That’s kind of a tricky word. That sounds like he’s playing hardball. He’s threatening the company!

On whether or not his brother Dolph Ziggler actually hooked up with Lana:
RN: Which one is Lana? (Laughs) I know. Lana is in my book. Rusev is in my book. Guys, these are all people in the book! Did they hook up? I was not there if they did. I did not see it with my own eyes. I can not confirm nor deny.

On whether his brother Dolph Ziggler will ever be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion (Note: Not the World Heavyweight Championship title, which Dolph held twice):
RN: I think that would be great if he did. It reminds me of when people, I did an AMA on Reddit, people say, “Does it bother you that they never give your brother the push and that creative is never behind him?” I said, “You look at someone’s wrestling career with little peaks and valleys everywhere, right? The greater slope is what’s important.” I said, “He’s been World Champion twice. He’s been paid shit loads of money to live his dream for the last ten years. I think he’s doing ok. I think the push and the creative and whatever you guys are talking about… that part of a wrestler’s life is like three hours out of the rest of the week. It’s like they’re doing video games or action figures or traveling the country to do things wherever.” When somebody says, “Are you mad that he was not in his segment?” Or, whatever. I’m like, “That’s like 1% of the whole thing. No, get real, grow up.”
