Yesterday, Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer reported that former WWE Diva Melina was replaced by Taya Valkyrie on season two of Lucha Underground as Melina was “extremely difficult” to work with.
Melina took to Twitter earlier today to refute the claim, and according to Ryan Satin of ProWrestlingSheet.com, Melina only signed on for a one-time appearance in Lucha Underground.
Lucha Underground sources told ProWrestlingSheet that producers attempted to lock Melina down to a long term deal before Ultima Lucha last season, but she would only sign on for the finale.
Melina claimed on Twitter that Lucha Underground producers did not want to pair her up with Johnny Mundo as it had already been done in WWE, and Satin added that the two sides could not come to an agreement to feature Melina in season two.
