On whether he could see Cesaro joining The Authority and being a “corporate champion”:
JL: I think whoever wins should join The Authority. They should be the guy that Triple H can help screw Reigns and say, “Look, Roman, you didn’t want to buy in or sell out. Well, this guy did.” Can Kevin Owens be the new Authority guy? Of course there is a relationship there between Kevin Owens and Triple H. We’ve uncovered it in terms of Triple H’s support of him. Signing him to NXT. Whoever wins needs to be a heel and needs to be the new guy with The Authority. Cesaro? Sure. I don’t think it’s a terrible idea. I don’t know this for sure. If we’re internet speculating. If in fact Vince is kind of the one that’s been the road block of pushing Cesaro then what a great way to counter. Say, “Hey Vince, let’s put him in The Authority. Let’s put him next to your daughter and Triple H. Let’s put him in a suit. If he doesn’t have the personality then let’s give him personality. Let him be the hired golden goose of The Authority.” I don’t think it’s a terrible idea, no.
On why people should be excited about former UFC fighter Matt Riddle possibly jumping to the WWE:
JL: He’s got a very similar personality to Rob Van Dam. His in-ring style reminds me of Rob Van Dam and Daniel Bryan. He does a lot of flying knees. He’s bigger than both of those guys are in terms of the way he is put together. He made his transition to pro wrestling and obviously he came out of some controversy in the MMA world with his drug testing and medical marijuana and so forth. He came over to pro wrestling, started training at the Monster Factory in Jersey and he had his first pro wrestling match I think last February. It was definitely early 2015. First match ever. I’ve watched most of his matches. I’ve watched a good amount of them let’s put it that way. The ones I have been able to get my hands on. He just has such a natural comfort in the ring. He does not look like a rookie. He’s got a personality and he’s got a following. He’s got a look to him. WWE loves bringing in guys who have prior stories and prior notoriety elsewhere. I know he was down in the WWE Performance Center in September for a try out camp that they had. That was all invitation only so the guy has a ton of potential. Not to say that he’s going to be the next Kurt Angle or the next Brock Lesnar or anything like that. He does have remnants of them in his legit background. The guy has got potential and he’s very exciting to watch and listen to.
On whether Ronda Rousey’s loss could be giving CM Punk cold feet about his upcoming UFC debut:
JL: I wouldn’t say he has cold feet. I think he is well aware that he is going in to something that he could fail at. I think he has a good level head on that. I think it’s going to be a huge draw. It will have me watching. It will have a lot of other people watching. I’ll personally be watching to see him get beat. That’s just my own personal feeling. I don’t think the Rousey thing has any affect on him. I think it just reminds him that every dog has it’s day.
