Bayley
NXT Women’s Champion Bayley appeared on the latest episode of the Sam Roberts Podcast, and one topic that came up was her first gimmick with WWE’s FCW.
Florida Championship Wrestling, which is now WWE’s developmental brand under the NXT name, saw Bayley working as a luchador, a gimmick she says was working for her. She said she started making designs for her mask when WWE changed her gimmick to one similar to her current gimmick. Bayley said WWE told her they were moving in a different direction for her character, and she later adopted her “Bayley” name before making her NXT TV debut in March of 2013.
She also said it will be tough to leave NXT for WWE one day, eventhough her dream since she was a child was to make it to WWE. Bayley said the NXT stars that get called up end up missing NXT, and she would deal with that part when and if it happens.
