On whether older fighters like Ken Shamrock, Kurt Angle, Royce Gracie and Kimbo Slice should be competing in Bellator:
JB: You look at Kurt Angle, who is a really interesting case, in the end I think he will fight. I don’t know if it will be that February (Bellator) card. I think they want to go all out in Houston. I wouldn’t be shocked to see Angle. Maybe he fights later because Kimbo has already signed. Either way, for Angle, these guys, it’s what they do. You can make a lot of money in a short amount of time. You’re training. Which these guys love to train anyway. They’re so good at it. I think if it’s something they want to do the good thing is no one is forced in to it. I guess you can argue both sides. I am excited to watch and they’re excited to fight so I think we all win.
On who should fight Kurt Angle if he has a debut fight for Bellator:
JB: I think Kimbo makes the most sense. I don’t think it will be Shamrock. I think it will be Kimbo. Kimbo is already signed for that February fight. It’s going to be interesting. Bellator is really trying to push Bobby Lashley as their next champion. The tough thing is in MMA you can’t… every dog has it’s day with one punch. I think they were thrilled Lashley won on Friday. Particularly how he annhialted James Thompson. The problem with Bellator is they have two Russian champions. When they go back to Russia they are under no obligation to fight. They are really trying to work to get a title match in to that February card. Everything I am hearing on the inside is that Lashley is the guy to get the next title match. It’s just a matter of can they get the champion there. It would be great if you could have Lashley as champion. You could explore an Angle match. You could explore the Kimbo-Angle match. You can explore the Shamrock-Angle match. Shamrock really needs a win too. He claims he’s got one last big fight in him. I feel like after the Gracie fight he’ll say he’s got one more big fight in him. It’ll be interesting to see where they go. There’s just some really, really big names and it’s smart on Bellator’s end because UFC doesn’t want to touch these guys and people still want to pay for their fights. It’s good for everybody.
On if Kevin Nash has a place in the WWE today and if so what that could be:
JB: I do. I don’t think Reigns will turn at Survivor Series. I just think The Authority needs some new life. Kinda like what they did in the Punk angle with the texting. Nash, Punk and HHH. I think they could do that really well with Nash in The Authority. I think he would make a ton of sense especially with that Kane role empty. They need some life and I think that it was disappointing to me on RAW on Monday it should have been a big moment. When Reigns turns down HHH’s offer and HHH says, “Well, you’re in the tournament.” Big Show’s music hits. There should have been a pop there but it’s amazing what they’ve done to The Big Show. Literally the greatest spectacle in all of sports entertainment. The guy is 7’2″, 400 lbs and he’s just another guy. It’s funny that you really need some fresh faces even when they are familiar.
