Third Match: Group Tag Team Specialist Matt Hardy vs. Eddie Edwards in a TNA World Title Series
Headscissors to the handstand escape from Eddie and a headlock both men up, Matt with the strike spit launching on Eddie, charge, legs caught and spun through the ropes, headlock drop after a few elbows. Eddie dumps Matt to the apron and boots him to the floor. Eddie hits a dive through the ropes, then unloads with some hard chops before Matt dodges one and Eddie connects with the post. Matt goes right to work on the hand, slamming it into the ring steps and then hammering Eddie with elbows to the back of the head.
Eddie fights out of a Side Effect on the apron and connects with an enziguiri before hitting Hardy with a DDT on the apron. They head back inside and trade chops and wipe each other out with a double clothesline. They get back to their feet and Matt hits a sleeper drop for a two count, but he’s too slow getting to the second rope and Eddie hits a backpack driver for two count. Eddie gets a victory roll for a two count, counters a Side Effect to another rollup for two count, then hits a superkick for another two count. Eddie goes to the top, but Matt gets a super Twist of Fate to pick up.
Winner: Matt Hardy + 3 Points
Ethan Carter III & Dixie Carter Segment:
Carter says he’s here to pay a fine he supposes he deserves to pay, but he figured he’d show up to do it in person. He walks into Dixie’s office and says it’s the first time they’ve seen each other since she robbed him of the World Title. Dixie ask EC3 what happen to him and EC3 says he’s a big, huge victory machine, the World Title Series isn’t over until he wins, and there’s nothing anyone can do about it. Dixie takes the check and looks mad as EC3 walks off.
