WWE NXT Results (9/2)- The Dusty Rhodes Classic Kicks Off, Apollo Crews In Action, Top Indy Stars Debut & More!

 Neville Moonsault off the top onto Jordan. Crowe dives over the top onto Gable. Jordan gets back in the ring. Neville tries to spring board onto Jordan, but Jordan catches him in midair and hits another sick belly to belly. Crowe tags himself in as Neville is tossed to the outside. Crowe charges Jordan, but gets caught in Jordan and Gables finish. Crowe is down for the count.

 Winners- Jason Jordan and Chad Gable

It is interesting to see the maturation of Jason Jordan and Chad Gable as a tag team. They remind me of a younger version of the Worlds Greatest Tag Team, Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin. Even though Neville and Crowe are far from juggernauts in the tag division this is still a huge win for Jordan and Gable. I don’t think anyone should expect them to win the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, but if they manage to go deep into the tournament, it could give them the rub they need to become legitimate contenders for the NXT tag titles.
