Stardust References Arrow On Smackdown
The match featuring Stardust and R-Truth, as well as a post-match promo by Stardust, featured more references to the CW show Arrow.
Stardust renamed his “Cross Rhodes” finishing maneuver to the “Queen’s Crossbow”, referring to the title character Arrow/Oliver Queen, played by Stephen Amell. This has been mentioned a few times but now seems to be catching on more with the commentators; Stardust’s promos and actions continue to heavily hint at something that will involve Amell.
After the match, Stardust held Truth up and put a mask on him, saying he “failed this city,” another Arrow reference to a phrase Amell’s character speaks as he defeats various villians on the show.
