As noted earlier, WWE United States Champion John Cena was featured on tonight’s evening edition of ESPN’s Sportscenter.
Cena was featured in a “My Wish” segment where he granted a wish for a young fan named KJ, who suffers from low functioning kidneys and cysts, and already received a transplant. KJ and his family talks to Chris Connelly about his health, and how he would want his wish to be meeting John Cena.
The clip sets up KJ and his mom going to a movie, but the theatre is actually empty, except for Triple H. He plays a clip featuring Cena, who tells KJ he will meet him and be his special guest for WWE RAW in the front row. Thyey are flown to Washington D.C. where KJ meets Stephanie McMahon, Cena (who gives him an autographed US title), Big Show, Cesaro, Luke Harper, Bad News Barrett and others. Cena also got KJ’s help on recreating his entrance during set-up, and gave him an in-ring introduction during the RAW broadcast.
