How Did “Trainwreck” Open at the Box Office?

trainwreckAccording to BoxOfficeMojo.com, the new Judd Apatow directed comedy “Trainwreck”, featuring John Cena, opened #3 at the box office on Friday.

The movie made an estimated $10.7 million in its opening night, placing it behind the newly released Marvel movie “Ant-Man”, which took in $22.6 million, and “Minions”, which took in $14.6 million in its second week in theaters.

The full weekend projection for “Trainwreck” is $25 million, which is about expected for the film.

“Spectre” Premiere Date

In other movie news, “Spectre”, the new movie in the James Bond series, is scheduled for a November 6th release in the United States. The movie features Dave “Batista” Bautista as Mr. Hinx.

NXT Takeover Nearly Sold Out

The WWE NXT Takeover Brooklyn special, taking place on August 22nd at The Barclays Center in New York City, looks to be nearly sold out. The show is expected to draw 10,000-plus fans in the same venue which will house SummerSlam the next night.

On Saturday afternoon, the Barclays Center opened up 200-level seats at $45 a piece following the initial on-sale noon EST.

No floor seats or 100-level seats are currently available through Ticketmaster, and although ticket sales for the event are strong, it’s still unclear as to how much of the venue will be open for seating.
