Lucha Underground Star Done?
As we noted previously, Hernandez made his return to Impact Wrestling last night, teaming up with MVP and the Beat Down Clan to take out Drew Galloway and The Rising. This is a very good indication that the 7-time tag team champ has finished up with Lucha Underground, as he would not be allowed to appear on any kind of rival television if he were still under contract with the promotion.
Jarrett to the Hall of Fame?
While they haven’t announced anything yet, it’s quite likely TNA will want to induct Jeff Jarrett into their Hall of Fame this year. The original plan was to bring back AJ Styles for the induction and one more match at Sunday’s Slammiversary PPV, but apparently AJ turned down the deal and is very content working as a top star in both Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Jarrett will compete in a King of the Mountain match Sunday night, and if they were to work something out for the Hall of Fame it’s likely any kind of ceremony would take place around Bound for Glory weekend later this year. Of course, that obviously relies on the promotion still having a television deal with Destination America (or another network, if they can find one) at that point.
