WWE RAW Results (5/4) – Rollins vs Ambrose, Sami Zayn Challenges Cena, Payback PPV Shake Up!

Bad News Barrett & Sheamus vs Dolph Ziggler & Neville 

Sheamus knocks Dolph down and taunts him, then Dolph responds with a superkick before Neville gets the tag. Neville connects with a few strikes and ducks a Bullhammer, then Sheamus and Dolph go after each other on the floor. Neville hits a suplex and goes for Red Arrow, but Sheamus interferes and Wade hits a Bullhammer for the win.

Winners – Bad News Barrett & Sheamus  

Randy Orton vs Roman Reigns

The Authority comes out before the match and Jamie Noble announces they will all fill roles as guest commentator, ringside enforcer and timekeeper, and the ref rings the bell. Orton teases a quick RKO before they fight on the floor, trading punches before Reigns decks Noble. Orton knocks Reigns down and throws Reigns back inside, then Roman whips him into the corner and goes for a Superman punch. Orton counters with a spinning powerslam, then he connects with a hangman’s DDT and lifts Reigns back up.

Reigns catches him with a Superman punch, then he hits the ropes but Kane pulls him outside. Rollins asks if ‘this is it’ and they all go after Orton, then Reigns dives on everyone before Rollins whips him into the ringpost. Orton tries to fight back but the numbers are too much for him, then Reigns gets attacked as Dean Ambrose runs out for the save. He helps clear the ring and they all corner Rollins, and Reigns spears him before Orton RKO’s Reigns, and Ambrose hits Orton with Dirty Deeds! 

Result – No Contest 

BP: Pretty much expected a dirty finish, but they did a lot of things right, most importantly they made Ambrose look great. His wins against Harper and tonight really brought him back in favor, and the Payback main event should be that much better. Overall, I’d rank tonight’s show as very good to great; definitely one of, if not the best RAW this year. Highlights were Ambrose versus Rollins and Sami Zayn versus John Cena. There was a lot of good content here.
