TNA Faced With More Pay Issue Allegations, How Much Back Pay Are Some Employees Owed?

tnaThe Sporting News’ Brian Fritz is reporting that TNA Wrestling is being faced with more pay issue allegations.

According to Fritz, a number of freelance workers have been shorted pay on past dates, and TNA is very behind on paying the production staff. These workers, who spoke out on condition of remaining anonymous, said employees are still owed back pay from the February One Night Only pay-per-view tapings; freelance workers are typically supposed to be paid within 30 days.

One of the production team members was reported to be told by TNA accounting checks were cut on April 3rd, but they haven’t been received yet. The production team member that spoke out said this is the third year in a row he and other team members have waited more than 60 days for payment. He, along with other team members are actually telling freelance workers not to work for TNA in the future.

These same workers are reported to have had backpay issues on more than one occassion, including late payment for TNA’s Maximum Impact tour of the United Kingdom. Fritz noted is his report that more than two dozen workers were shorted payment for the tour, running from January 29th to the 31st, by more than $1,000 each.

A number of people have said TNA’s accounting department has made excuses and flat-out lied to workers about the pay. The most used excuses by the department was the cut was in the mail, or that the checks had been delayed due to weather.
