WWE Superstar Roman Reigns recently talked to the Sun UK while promoting Wrestlemania, and commented on a number of topics.
Roman Reigns talks WWE and how he being groomed as a company “headliner,” watching football (soccer) and Wayne Rooney, and more. You can read a few excerpts below:
Roman Reigns Talks WWE And His ‘Headline’ Role:
“This is a huge role I’m in, it is a very big spot. I represent so many people, especially in this spot – not only my bloodline and my family, I’m representing the whole company, the WWE brand. For me it’s a huge responsibility. There are so many people that came before me, some of the greatest superstars ever.
“My only hope is to carve out my own path, my own niche and be remembered for the things I want to be remembered for. I’m not trying to be anyone else or the next anybody. I just want to be the very first Roman Reigns. If I can leave my mark like that, if I can touch people’s lives and help them out and bring smiles to faces, that’s what I’m in it for.”
Reigns on Wayne Rooney taking a punch:
“He [Rooney] may have got up from that [smack from Bardsley] but he’s never been hit by a Roman Reigns Superman punch. …For his sake, let’s hope he never does!”
On facing The Rock:
“Where I’m at right now, with our family ties, I don’t really see that happening, but if it did happen it would be in WWE. Going out on a limb right now, I’d say most likely not – but this is WWE, everything can change.”
Reigns on the main event for Wrestlemania 32:
“It should be a Triple Threat match. The Shield reunites to fight each other for one more night.”
