WWE Returning to L.A.?
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that WWE has plans to bring SummerSlam back to the Staples Center in Los Angeles for 2016.
The idea for this year was that they didn’t want to run both WrestleMania and SummerSlam – their two biggest annual shows – in California within the same year. The original plan was to host this year’s summer event at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, but the building is shutting down and the pay-per-view was confirmed for the Barclays Center instead. WWE Raw was already running the Barclays the following night, so the transition was simple.

After defeating the Lucha Dragons on NXT last night, Enzo Amore and Big Cass are now the #1 Contenders to the NXT Tag Team Titles.
