TNA Impact Wrestling Results (3/6) – Drew Galloway’s Debut Match, New Tag Team Champions, Spud Calls EC3 Out, New #1 Contender!

Kong calls for an Implant Buster but Taryn blocks it, then she goes for another diving cutter but Kong once again shoves her to block. Kong stomps Taryn a few times and shoves the referee away, and he calls for the bell.

Winner (by disqualification) – Taryn Terrell

Kong continues to stomp Taryn and whips her into the ring steps, then she tries to set up an Implant Buster on the floor. Gail Kim runs out and stops her, so Kong hits her with a forearm shot and they begin to brawl. Gail kicks her a few times but Kong slams her head into the stage, and they fight to the back as the ref checks on Taryn.

BP: I can’t say I cared too much for the finish here. Either have Kong win clean or by DQ because she didn’t break for the count, but the ref shove was kinda cheap.

TNA Tag Team Championships

The Wolves vs The Revolution (c)

Storm and Abyss wait for The Wolves’ entrance, then the rest of the Revolution run out to attack them from behind. Storm whips Eddie to the floor and punches Davey a few times, then Storm goes for a suplex but Davey floats over and kicks him. Eddie hits Abyss with an enziguiri on the apron, then he tags in and kicks Storm a few times before hitting him with an enziguiri and a backpack stunner. Eddie hits Storm with a roundhouse kick before both of them head up top, but Abyss distracts the ref and Khoya attacks from behind. Storm hits a lungblower and Eye of the Storm for two, then Matt Hardy walks to the ring as Storm hits a neckbreaker.

Abyss tags in and calls for a chokeslam, then tries to also chokeslam Davey, but they kick him out of the ring and take Sanada and Manik out with dives. The Wolves get a good pace going and also hit Khoya, Storm and Abyss with suicide dives, then then hit another round of them and accidentally hit Matt too. Eddie hits an enziguiri to knock Storm off the ropes, then Sanada accidentally hits Manik with the mist before Abyss takes Eddie down. Abyss goes for a cowbell but Matt takes it away, then The Wolves hit Hammer of the Gods (simultaneous double stomps) for the win.

Winners and NEW TNA Tag Team Champions – The Wolves

BP: This match was a much bigger clusterf*ck than it needed to be. I’m not really sure whether I enjoyed this one more or less than last week’s MVP/Lashley match, which was also overbooked. I’m not completely dissatisfied with the match though, as The Wolves hit some good spots like usual; the number of consecutive suicide dives / topes was most impressive.
