WWE Smackdown Results (3/5) – AJ vs Brie, Swagger vs Rusev, IC Title Trickery!

The Bellas come out and say #GiveDivasAChance means all of them, not just AJ Lee, and they’ve been really fair. Brie says AJ has just been sitting home and relaxing while they run the division, and there’s a reason why Nikki is still the champion. She says there’s one voice in the Divas division, and it’s coming from the top. Brie tells AJ to bring her frenemy Paige with her, because they’ll actually give her a chance.

AJ Lee (w/ Paige) vs Brie Bella (w/ Nikki Bella)

AJ takes Brie down with an armdrag, then she applies a wristlock before sending Brie into the ropes and elbowing her. AJ sweeps her legs and dives on her from the turnbuckles, then Brie comes back with a few strikes and an armtrap chinlock. Brie slaps AJ in the corner and slams her head into the turnbuckles, then she goes to a chinlock with her knee in between AJ’s shoulders. AJ fights out and Brie takes her down with a diving snapmare, then she goes back to a chinlock before slamming AJ into the ropes and kneeing her in the face. Brie goes for a dropkick from the middle turnbuckle but AJ sidesteps her, then AJ connects with an elbow and a corner clothesline. AJ hits a neckbreaker and dropkicks Brie out of the ring, then Nikki argues with Paige, and AJ makes Brie tap out to the Black Widow.

Winner – AJ Lee

BP: Good return match for AJ, it sold the angle well, and the Divas got a good amount of TV time. No complaints here.

Daniel Bryan talks to Renee Young backstage and says Dolph Ziggler was right, and the Intercontinental Championship ladder match could steal the show at Wrestlemania 31. He says as far as tonight goes, they will see who ends up taking the title with them tonight.
